How it works

hanubees is a noticeboard for vehicles in Tamil Nadu. Owners post what they are selling; buyers look, tap to see the number, and call. We are not a dealer, we do not inspect vehicles, and we do not take a commission. The deal is between you and the other person.

Buyers never sign up. Sellers sign up by posting: a name, a mobile number and a 4-digit PIN, asked for on the last step of the form. The PIN is how you get back in to change the price or mark it sold.

Buying safely

Never pay an advance before you have seen the vehicle. Not for “holding it”, not for “transport”. This is how most frauds work.
See it in daylight, drive it yourself, and take a mechanic you trust.
Look up the registration on the government’s Vahan citizen services or the mParivahan app. The owner name, model, fuel and year should match what you were told.
Pay by bank transfer to an account in the owner’s name, and get a signed receipt.

Papers to check

RC (registration certificate). The owner’s name should match their Aadhaar or licence. Chassis and engine numbers on the RC should match the ones on the vehicle.
Insurance. At least third-party cover must be valid for you to drive it home.
For autos, trucks and lorries: FC and permit. The fitness certificate and the permit (city, state or national) must be valid. Ask for the latest road tax receipt too.
If a loan is running: the RC shows the bank’s name (hypothecation). The seller must close the loan and give you the bank’s NOC and Form 35 before you pay the balance.
Transfer of ownership: Form 29 and Form 30, signed by both of you, filed at the RTO. Keep copies until the new RC arrives in your name.

Selling

Post your vehicle. Photos in daylight from all four sides, plus the dashboard and the tyres, get far more calls than a single photo.
Your number is only shown when a buyer taps “Show phone number”.
When it is sold, open My listings and tap “Mark as sold”, so people stop calling.
Never share an OTP with a buyer. Nobody needs your OTP to pay you.
